The Master Scheduler is responsible for constructing and maintaining a master schedule for Customer Orders, Job Orders, Material and Manufacturing Resources that efficiently balances Supply and Demand for manufactured and procured product. The company Master Schedule is aligned with the Business Operations Plan resulting from Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) and is the basis for detailed manufacturing schedules and Job Orders on the shop floor. The goal is to produce and plan a factory plan that optimizes capacity utilization and inventory. Developing, implementing, and improving on current scheduling processes, tools and systems is a key element of this role.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Analyzes Demand and Supply at the Item, Customer Order and Master Schedule levels, determines out of balance conditions, identifies alternatives, and recommends actions.
• Builds and summarizes daily and weekly Schedules and compares these to the Operating Plan/Master schedule to ensure that it is aligned with SIOP commitments.
• Builds a Schedule that satisfies customer demand, resource utilization and addresses bottleneck constraints using the ERP system.
• Provides monthly Capacity Planning, maintains and updates capacity inputs for all work centers and cells.
• Proactively participates as a Subject Matter Expert in Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning (SIOP), helping to set priorities when demand outstrips capacity.
• Liaisons with Engineering, Buyers and Managers to ensure appropriate labor, machine and scrap standards are considered in the master schedule.
• Coordinates with Sales, Inventory, Procurement, Production Control and Manufacturing to better understand lead times for master scheduled items and provide lead times for Quotes.
• Back-up for Buyers
• Supports Sales with Customer schedules/Gantt charts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing supply chain or equivalent/related fields
• 3- 5 years of experience in a role of progressively increasing responsibilities in Production Planning or Production Control in a Manufacturing environment
• Previous experience in Master Scheduling/Capacity Planning.
• Solid understanding of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment
• Purchasing experience
• Must be proficient in Excel and data analysis software tools, specifically advanced formulas and logic.
• Strong collaboration abilities with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Customer Service and Management

Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 61,500.00 - 102,700.00
