Full Job Description
JOB TITLE: Master Production Planner

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager

HOURS: Full-time; 40 hours per week

We are looking for a Master Production Planner to own all Forecasting, Scheduling and Planning to help drive on-time delivery across our operation.

This role is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and balancing our production schedules across the Tool shop, Production floor and Warehouse ensure orders move efficiently from production through shipment. You will play a critical role in labor planning, optimizing capacity, and daily decision-making that directly impacts our ability to deliver to customers.

Your performance will directly impact on-time delivery and overall operational efficiency. You will work closely with production, warehouse, logistics, and inventory teams to solve problems in real time and improve how we operate.

What You'll Do:

Own Company Planning
  • Develop, Maintain, Communicate the master production schedule across all brands and departments
  • Plan ahead to balance workload, labor, and priorities based on customer demand.
  • Host Sales and Operations (S & OP) Meetings to consistently update forecast
  • Maintain accurate ERP data including lead time, must start dates, safety stock, etc.
  • Ensure work is aligned to meet on-time delivery goals
  • Communicate with Customer Service, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, and Shipping teams to create a smooth order to fulfillment process.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
  • Proactively identify issues that impact delivery, inventory, or efficiency and resolve them or elevate issues for further support
  • Take action to resolve problems quickly and prevent recurrence

Performance Monitoring
  • Track schedule performance using KPIs, Dashboards and reporting tools to understand successes and gaps

Qualifications

Required
  • 7+ years' experience in Production planning in a Manufacturing environment with a minimum of 3 years in Master Planning
  • CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification through APICS (or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Solid communication skills with a focus on proactive, cross departmental communication
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable making decisions and adjusting plans in real time
  • Robust history with ERP/MRP systems - adjusting data to get the system to drive accurate work order planning timelines
  • Strong comfortability with Excel and other Microsoft products

Physical Requirements
  • Works primarily in office environment to include cubicles and/or in and around shipping/receiving docks and rotational molding environment.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, heat and cold.
