Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Events Manager to plan and execute our event marketing program across trade shows, regional events, conferences, and partner activations. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, on-brand experiences that drive partner engagement, support sales efforts, and contribute to pipeline growth. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple events simultaneously.
Location: Carlsbad, CA
Salary Range: $100,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, industry conferences, regional customer events, dealer events, distributor events, and partner activities.
• Develop and manage event plans, schedules, budgets, project timelines, and deliverables from initial concept through post-event follow-up.
• Manage event logistics end-to-end, including booth space, exhibit design, registration, hotels, catering, A/V, shipping, staffing, product demonstrations, and onsite coordination.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Sales, and other internal teams to establish event objectives, product priorities, messaging, demonstrations, and staffing.
• Work with distribution partners and regional sales teams to plan and execute local and regional customer-facing events and ensure a strong partner and customer experience.
• Manage relationships with event organizers, exhibit companies, venues, agencies, and other outside vendors, including vendor negotiations and cost management.
• Coordinate the development and delivery of booth assets, signage, product displays, collateral, branded materials, and event swag, ensuring all materials are on-brand and delivered on time.
• Develop and execute event communications and promotional plans to drive customer attendance and engagement.
• Manage event budgets and expenses to ensure activities are delivered within approved spending.
• Establish success metrics and conduct post-event reviews, including attendance, engagement, lead tracking, ROI, and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain the annual event calendar and help prioritize event investments based on business objectives and expected impact.
• Implement and maintain department policies, standards, and established organizational procedures.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
• Support additional marketing initiatives and project-based assignments as requested.
Qualifications:
• 3-6+ years of experience in event marketing, trade shows, or event coordination (B2B preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Experience coordinating logistics for events or trade shows
• Willingness to travel (up to 35%)
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
• Strong written communication and verbal skills
• Proven ability to multi-task, set project priorities, establish department/discipline goals and objectives for self and staff
• Computer literacy required; including immediate skills in Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
Budgetary Responsibilities:
• Track event budgets and expenses to ensure alignment with approved spending
• Assist in vendor negotiations and cost management
• Support post-event reporting, including attendance, engagement, and lead tracking
• Analyzing financial information to ensure all operations are within budget
• Presenting annual budgets to leadership team
• Make budgetary suggestions and execute cost-saving initiatives
• Meet budget submission deadlines
