Your Role

The Pharmacy Market Experience team is responsible for the development, management and oversight of Blue Shield's pharmacy-related member marketing and operational communications materials and digital experience. The Marketing Communications Specialist, Senior will report to the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Market Experience. In this role you will support implementation or management of integrated marketing and operational communications across all channels and lines of business. You will also support clinical and business objectives by developing digital content, communications and sales enablement or group materials promoting pharmacy benefits, products and services.

Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will:
  • Perform writer, communications specialist, and project manager responsibilities
  • Create communications through the eyes of the customer - developing holistic experiences and meaningful touchpoints
  • Develop comprehensive communication plans that incorporate a full spectrum of tools and tactics (letters, email, web content, etc.)
  • Participate in cross-functional teams across multiple business units to align on priorities and develop or support comprehensive communications strategies
  • Collect and analyze data to measure and report success and continually optimize results (open rates, response rates, return mail, list health, etc.)
  • Develop, execute and manage pharmacy marketing and operational communications and complex communication projects across all LOBs and delivery channels, and coordinate/manage SME reviews and legal/compliance submissions as applicable
  • Work closely with Rx Accounts & Sales and enterprise marketing to support development of sales enablement or group collateral materials needed for renewals or new group implementation
  • Serve as a pharmacy communications and marketing SME to effectively align communications with corporate, brand and regulatory requirements, and manage team's day-to-day operational communications and fulfilment of marketing communications or digital support requests
  • Support strategic initiatives, enterprise marketing and communication transformation efforts and the digital member experience, including performing responsibilities related to vendor-delegated communication implementation for current, strategic or ad hoc projects


Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Requires a college education or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience with developing marketing messages and communication campaigns required
  • Pharmacy or healthcare-related marketing and communications for commercial and government program LOB's required
  • Strong project management skills which reflect the ability to connect related information across different projects, envision and plan for end-to-end deliverables, independently drive work on complex and time-sensitive projects, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, requiring minimal oversight and direction from management
  • Continual learner mindset with robust sense of ownership, personal accountability, and responsibility (including using Scrum/Agile principles) for process and program improvement
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and writing skills with ability to understand and convey complex ideas to audiences with diverse backgrounds
  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics, including being able to effectively multi-task and prioritize work


Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
