Marketing and Sales Director

Job Summary:

As Marketing Director, you will drive revenue, elevate our brand presence, and oversee marketing strategy across our hotel, restaurants, bars, and gym. This hands-on role leads cross-functional initiatives, manages digital platforms, oversees creative storytelling, and directs performance marketing budgets to engage our local community and guests.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy
    • Marketing Direction: Sets the visual tone, messaging, and overall strategy across all our hospitality concepts.
    • Team Collaboration: Meets regularly with the senior team and location general managers to understand property-specific needs and create tailored promotions.
    • Brand Quality Control: Ensures our brand identity, logos, photos, and visual standards remain consistent across all locations.
    • Performance Tracking: Reviews website analytics and ad performance to see what's working and adjust strategies to drive results.

Decision-Making & Campaign Management
    • Conducts routine SEO and AEO audits across all business platforms and search tools to ensure maximum visibility and digital accuracy.
    • Online & Digital Platforms: Actively manages our website updates and external travel listings (Google, TripAdvisor, Expedia).
    • Creative & Content Direction: Oversees visual storytelling, photo/video shoots, menu design, signage, and print materials.

Budgeting, Financial Management
    • Budget Allocation: Manages the annual marketing budget, deciding where to deploy funds across digital ads, print media, and sponsorships for maximum impact.
    • Evaluates and negotiates rates with local ad channels, print shops, software tools, influencers, and platform subscriptions.
    • Maintains centralized ownership of passwords, logins, and platform authentications across all marketing and listing accounts.

Community Representation & Partnerships
    • Local Brand Ambassador: Serves as a primary face of Red Lodge Hospitality at community events, civic meetings, and local business gatherings, such as the Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) and Downtown Business Alliance.
    • Community Engagement: Builds local partnerships and manages sponsorships to support the Red Lodge community and drive local involvement.

Sales & Business Development
    • Proactively reaching out to regional businesses, tour operators, event planners, and retreat organizers (e.g., in Billings, Bozeman, or Cody) to book room blocks, corporate retreats, holiday parties, etc.
    • Works closely with the Pollard Hotel's event coordinator to drive bookings for private parties, holiday gatherings, weddings, and special events across the hotel and restaurant spaces.
