Group Details

Dealerweb is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Market Support Operations team In Jersey City, specializing in Regulatory Transaction Reporting and focusing on the equity market's Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT).

This position is focused on the Consolidated Audit Trail ("CAT") reporting systems and compliance supervision to ensure that the firm has complied with the rules. This is an operational and oversight function that requires the ability to read regulations, research and analyze data, understand technical implementations of systems and devise control procedures to test compliance. Experience in researching transactional reporting issues to form evidence- based conclusions is a necessary skill. Experience in data analysis and/or system development or improvement is strongly preferred.

Job Responsibilities
  • Reviewing regulatory data to identify root cause and necessary remediation for errors
  • Develop surveillance for regulatory reporting and operational data
  • Following up with software developers, technical support teams and/or with business management on any errors/exceptions that arise
  • Gathering facts to assist the firm in responding to examinations and formal inquiries
  • Proposing improvements to, or additional controls over, regulatory reporting

Qualifications
  • Must have 1-3 years of experience with CAT Reporting
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a quantitative or analytical field
  • Experience in an analytical role, preferably in the financial industry
  • Strong data analysis, investigatory, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss and write about complex topics in a manner that is both precise and persuasive
  • Experience with data tracking tools like JIRA preferable.

  • The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $100,000 -$130,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
