Job Title: City President

Location: Lima, OH

Status: Full Time

Department: Commercial Lending

Reports To: Chief Lending Officer

In this role the City President is a leader and role model focusing on leading their team to consistently deliver outstanding service while implementing innovative tools to continuously improve efficiency and profitable growth. The City President understands the mission of the bank and works hard to achieve it, expertly fostering a positive work environment where employees are encouraged, motivated and developed to achieve their goals.

A typical day may include the following:
  • Think strategically by converting strategic plans and initiatives into shorter term-operational goals. Participates in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic business and performance goals by leading and directing the operations of the branch office.
  • Works closely with the Branch Operations Manager to resolve and satisfy customer level service issues.
  • Works closely with the Branch Operations Manager and Branch Operations Coordinator to ensure consistency and adherence to all bank and/or operational policies and procedures occur within the branch office.
  • Mentors, coaches and develops employees, focusing on growth, strategy and employee development. Provides assistance and guidance to employees regarding ongoing sales management coaching and sales development activities designed to optimize the profit and loss results for the office.
  • Management responsibilities also include the sourcing and hiring of talented individuals for the department.
  • Prospects and sources lending, deposit and cash management opportunities. Manages an active pipeline while maintaining an existing portfolio. Effectively negotiates loan structuring and pricing of credit extensions. Emphasizes sound underwriting with proper documentation and compliance.
  • Develops and deploys sales campaigns throughout the year in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
  • Participates in community and civic events to promote awareness of the Bank in the community.
  • Serves on Senior Loan Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and other management committees as necessary.
  • This position requires travel to outside offices/locations at times to meet with management, staff and others, however on-site presence is also necessary for regular, successful performance.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's polices and applicable laws. Responsibilities include coordinating new hire training and monitoring ongoing training of employees; performance appraisals; providing recommendations on hiring and firing decisions; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred and one to two years related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Continuing education to remain current with area of responsibility.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have stellar written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must possess good management and human resource skills.
  • Must possess extensive background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations, and employee development.
  • Must maintain extensive public relations with customers, the community and the general public to promote good will for the Bank.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
