Description
The
Market Manager is responsible for leading branch operations, customer service, staff, and facilities across the Bank's
Harvard and
Groton, Massachusetts branches. The Market Manager oversees both locations to manage and motivate staff and to ensure consistency of superior quality customer service while adhering to bank policies, procedures, and security.
Essential Job Functions- Leads overall branch operations, including customer service, staff supervision, facility management, security, cash controls, audits, account maintenance, and adherence to opening, closing, and operational procedures.
- Supervises, coaches, develops, and motivates employees; manages performance, employee relations, scheduling, onboarding, training, and professional development.
- Promotes a positive, collaborative work environment and ensures consistent communication between branch staff and senior management.
- Ensures employees deliver exceptional service and reinforces the Bank's vision, values, policies, and service standards.
- Manages departmental resources and operates within the established annual budget.
Sales and Business Development- Promotes Bank products and services, identifies opportunities to deepen customer relationships, and coaches employees on effective sales and cross-selling practices.
- Partners with internal business lines to achieve sales and business development goals and supports Bank-wide initiatives and incentive programs.
Community Engagement- Represents the Bank through networking, volunteer activities, and community events to strengthen relationships and promote the Bank within the community.
Compliance and Risk Management- Ensures branch operations comply with Bank policies, procedures, security standards, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including BSA requirements.
- Maintains current knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements through ongoing training and applies this knowledge to daily operations.
Requirements
Qualifications, Education, and Experience- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible customer service and/or supervisory experience in a banking environment; teller experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of banking operations and customer service, with the ability to lead employees and support business development.
- Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines, work effectively as both a team member and leader, and work extended hours, weekends, or travel as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and multiple banking systems.
