YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As Market Manager, you will lead Bacardi's on-premise execution, relationships and growth across Massachusetts, with a primary focus on Boston. You will manage approximately 25 influential on-premise accounts, deliver sales targets and KPIs, and develop customer strategies and business plans. You will also provide day-to-day market leadership to distributor-based Brand Development Managers and Bacardi Brand Ambassadors while collaborating across the sales and marketing organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching and market direction to four distributor-based Brand Development Managers dedicated to the Bacardi portfolio, as well as three Bacardi Brand Ambassadors. This role does not currently have direct Bacardi reports.
  • Lead regular distributor and market team meetings by developing agendas, reviewing performance, discussing programming and promotional plans, and aligning partners on goals, objectives and execution priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, using Bacardi resources and distributor partnerships to maximize performance, increase volume and build long-lasting business opportunities across the market and account universe.
  • Collaborate with and influence distributor territory managers and sales consultants to execute local market priorities and plans.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key customer accounts, creating strategies and plans that deliver win-win outcomes through impactful presentations and evaluation of return on investment.
  • Manage budgets, pricing, promotional programs and investment decisions effectively, evaluating program costs and return on investment to drive profitable growth.
  • Provide market and competitive brand updates to the commercial team to include timely and accurate communication of changing field conditions that may affect volumes as well as staffing changes at distributors and competitors.
  • Coordinate the schedules and market activities of Brand Ambassadors and support visiting brand teams by organizing account visits, activations and other market priorities.
  • Serve as the leader of the Massachusetts on-premise channel. Build the local market sales execution plan with the State Manager and Regional Director, own sales targets and KPIs, and drive execution to achieve them.
  • Engage with new and existing customers to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Partner with accounts and serve as a business consultant to support customer objectives.
  • Maintain a strong and consistent presence in the trade, building relationships across Boston's close-knit hospitality community and staying connected to customers, distributor partners and local market trends.
  • Manage and grow approximately 25 influential on-premise accounts located primarily in Boston while overseeing the broader Massachusetts on-premise business.

  • The base salary range listed for this position is $105,000-$115,000. The salary within the range will be determined by the successful candidate's location, experience, skill set and other relevant factors.


SKILLS - THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO CREATE YOUR LEGACY
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required
  • Ideally, you have at least three years of sales experience within the spirits, beverage or hospitality industry, including two or more years of on-premise experience. Previous experience in a Market Manager or comparable market leadership role is preferred.
  • You have an understanding of the on-premise business and the critical business factors that drive and impact customer's business decisions.

  • You are influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed, giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, Bacardi Primos, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization.
  • You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet.
