Job Description/Responsibilities
TheMarket Development Managerwill be a field leader that manages a team of Market Development Representatives to drive results in on and off premise accounts. This role will develop and execute Impact Selling programs to drive key sales objectives in their markets.
Additional responsibilities for theMarket Development Manager include:
- Lead and manage a team of Market Development Representatives to build brands, maximize distribution, solve customer challenges and maximize Sazerac merchandising and space-to-sales.
- Motivate and develop internal and wholesale team in delivering brand and individual goals.
- Establish and implement strategic programs to guide distribution, innovative launches, displays, feature ads, and retail promotions that produce effective presentation of the brand state priorities.
- Achieve volume objectives for the brand state priorities.
- Plan and execute consistent sales calls with key accounts.
- Develop, implement and monitor agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as it relates to their team.
- Work with internal teams to course correct any brands that are off brand state priority plan.

- Education: Bachelors degree in business or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional sales experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry (CPG).
- Leadership Experience: Proven success in managing and leading people.
- Technical Savvy: Demonstrated successful use of sales data analytics and tools to drive sales results, identify market trends, and produce measurable results.
- Mobility: A valid drivers license and ability to travel within an assigned district is required.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% overnights when necessary.
- Location: Candidate must reside in or near the district.
- Expenses: Ability to personally cover ordinary and essential business expenses that will be promptly reimbursed
- Compliance: Must be able to obtain a relevant solicitors permit in any state.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in customer or distributor management
- On-Premise and Off-Premise sales experience
- Market development and sales analysis experience
Physical Requirements
- Standing for an extended period of time
- Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 35lbs without assistance
- Ascend or descend stairs
- Ability to drive and visit multiple accounts in one day
- Strong communication skills
Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position. The salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel or cell phone reimbursement

The annual salary range for this role is $79,654.00 - $117,982.00 Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal pay equity considerations.
