Full Job Description
Position Overview:
As our Manufacturing & Welding Engineering Planner Scheduler, you will develop and maintain engineering and project schedules that support manufacturing operations, customer commitments, and efficient execution of work. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, production teams, and project stakeholders, you will coordinate priorities, monitor progress, and help ensure engineering activities are planned and executed to meet business and customer objectives.

Your Day to Day as our Manufacturing & Welding Engineering Planner Scheduler:
  • Develop and maintain project and engineering schedules to support manufacturing operations, customer commitments, and project execution.
  • Collaborate with Weld and Manufacturing Engineers, Project Management, and internal stakeholders to establish timelines, priorities, and resource requirements.
  • Create and manage engineering deliverable plans, incorporating fabrication schedules, milestones, and customer requirements.
  • Track project progress, identify schedule risks, manage critical path activities, and develop recovery plans to maintain project timelines.
  • Monitor engineering documentation, requisitions, non-conformances, and material readiness to support successful project execution.
  • Prepare project schedules, reports, and lookahead plans to support decision-making and stakeholder communication.
  • Support resource planning by aligning engineering activities, assigned resources, and budgeted hours with project requirements.
  • Participate in project planning meetings and provide recommendations to address delays, bottlenecks, and schedule impacts.
  • Collaborate with shop personnel to assess work progress, identify constraints, and support timely completion of manufacturing activities.


Required Qualifications:
  • University or college education in Engineering, Materials, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Planner Scheduler or similar role.
  • Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational, record-keeping, and accuracy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $75,000 and $109,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
