Full Job Description
This role is needed to support Production Test Technicians and be a liaison between Test Engineers from Mark Wuttke's Group and Test Technicians working in Production. They will be the equivalent of Manufacturing Engineers. Mfg. Eng. would support Assembly and Mfg. Test Eng. would support Test. This role would be mainly focusing on troubleshooting and getting to the Root Cause of the problems we encounter in Test.
What You Will Do:
• This position reports to the Mfg. Engineering Supervisor
• Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure the quality and functionality of products during the manufacturing process.
• Design test systems, create test plans, and collaborate with various teams to identify and address issues.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure testability considerations are integrated into product designs.
• Execute tests on manufactured products to verify functionality and quality and troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Document test processes, procedures, and results. Implement and maintain automated test systems to increase testing efficiency.
• Write ECNs to implement changes to products and test procedure.
• Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications through effective testing and contribute to the development and improvement of quality control processes.
• Analyze test data to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues.
• Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams for continuous improvement.
• Implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement in testing methodologies.
• Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods. Documents test results.
• Perform repairs and component removal or replacement
• Assist in the assembly of test set-ups.
• Follow company policies and safety regulations.
• Performs routine go and no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
What You Need:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Career-minded professional within field. Requires moderate skill set and proficiency in discipline.
• Able to utilize independent judgment with moderate supervision.
• Ability to work with engineers to develop, execute, and track the testing of new and existing products and accessories.
• Experience with customers and the ability to reproduce customer problems for engineering.
• Able to read and interpret diagrams, schematics and drawings to isolate issues found in testing.
Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $85,000 - $117,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a full benefits package.
This position requires on-site presence at Spellman High Voltage headquarters in Hauppauge, NY.
