The Manufacturing Technology (MT) Engineer plays a critical role in advancing process safety, operational excellence, and technology implementation. This role partners across Operations, EH&S, and R&D to deliver Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, support plant troubleshooting, and drive continuous improvement and growth projects. The position offers the opportunity to impact both tactical operations and long-term technology strategies while developing site capability through coaching and technical leadership.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in front-end loading of capital projects
- Apply line-of-business process knowledge to define and deliver technical solutions for PSM, Grow, and Improve projects
- Support and influence Business Technology Implementation Plans (BTIP) and Multi-Generational Technology Plans (MGTP)
- Lead or participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and front-end loading activities for capital projects
- Serve as the primary Manufacturing Technology contact for advanced troubleshooting and complex operational issues
- Provide technical coaching, training, and capability development for operations engineers and technical staff
- Support Root Cause Investigations (RCIs) to resolve production and reliability issues
- Lead or support raw material qualifications and product trials for new and existing products
- Validate and standardize process technology solutions, ensuring documentation and knowledge sharing across the network
- Provide technical input and leadership in Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, EH&S, R&D, and Manufacturing Technology teams to drive aligned outcomes
- Participate in project reviews to ensure technical rigor, execution quality, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
- 5+ years of manufacturing, engineering, or related experience
- Demonstrated experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in a plant setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs (high or low hazard operations)
- Experience supporting capital projects and process hazard analyses (PHA)
- Experience with Management of Change (MOC) and Root Cause Investigation (RCI) processes
