What You Will Be Doing
The primary focus for this role is to support the various projects developing new manufacturing technology and the processes and hardware that lead to successful manufacturing technology insertions. As part of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) team this role supports a project team or leads and manages smaller projects. This role is focused on manufacturing applied metrology technology and processes in the area of aircraft coatings and finishes. This includes expertise in advanced metrology equipment and software such as laser based scanners, optical metrology, dimensional analysis software, as well as process familiarity in quality and calibration methods, coating and finish applications using sheet material, applique's, and maskants.
Additional responsibilities and role description include:
• Executions of planning, development, and integration of advanced manufacturing technology and processes to resolve technical manufacturing problems
• Technical and project management contributor towards metrology based projects.
• This role will perform functions such as budget and schedule management, status reporting, cost benefit analysis, trade studies, etc. as well as technology development functions, MRL (manufacturing readiness level) assessments, process definition and testing, industry capability evaluations and technical demonstrations.
• This position includes engineering, technical, and project management aspect for projects ranging in life cycle phase from manufacturing process investigation and development, test and improvements, manufacturing equipment and system specification, procurement and supplier management, integration and production support.
In addition to this role's primary focus, project support may include various areas of aerospace manufacturing impacting the primary role ranging from:
• Metallic and composite fabrication
• System integration
• Aircraft structure assembly
• Manufacturing systems

Further Information About This Opportunity
• Must be a US citizen, this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
• Existing clearance or the ability to attain a Secret Security Clearance required.
Basic Qualifications
• Project management experience
• Experience developing advanced technology
• Experience with technical requirements generation and equipment or process development
• Experience with aircraft coatings and finishes operations
Desired skills
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 1+ years of professional experience; or
• Secret level security clearance
• Experience working in advanced manufacturing concepts as they relate to current and emerging aircraft platforms
• Knowledge of military aircraft design, fabrication, assembly, finishes, and inspection methods and tools
• Knowledge of industry best practices for a broad range of manufacturing techniques
• Experience in manufacturing fabrication processes in advanced materials, materials science, process engineering, and thin film processes
• Creative approach to technical problem solving
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $77,000 - $133,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
