Full Job Description
Purpose Statement: To provide leadership, direction, and coordinate activities to the Systems Integration, Industrial Engineering, and Automation team(s). Manage the function in line with specific strategies, process/systems/people development, and plant-level metrics. Support process development for the industrialization and launch of products from initial concept to mass production of all post-PCBA processes, ensuring product specifications, overall customer quality, and regulatory requirements as applicable.

Key Job Accountabilities:
  • Technical Leadership & Process Design:Lead a skilled technical team to determine, develop, and design the required processes, equipment, fixtures, automation, and lay out to support product manufacturing. Development of capacity models and footprint at the industrialization stage. Support on site operations, collaborate on technology roadmap establishment, and with corporate and regional technical teams to achieve lower costs and higher manufacturing returns.
  • Equipment & Asset Management: Coordinate capital asset forecasts and equipment, including upgrade/replacement plans for production equipment and facilities systems. Responsible for the specification, installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, equipment, systems, and tooling. Support overall development of the RCE justification, submission, and approval. Drive the identification, evaluation, and implementation of automation solutions, robotics, and smart manufacturing technologies across post-PCBA and HLA lines to optimize throughput, reduce cost, and ensure process repeatability.
  • Compliance, Validation & Quality: Lead the development of technical compliance and practices in accordance with existing SOPs, WIs, and SFTs. Ensure manufacturing process content of the APQP is effectively executed, and support master-validation planning.
  • Continuous Improvement & Metrics: Develop and implement major improvement programs in areas of quality, output, yield, and cost reduction using Lean/Six Sigma concepts. Coordinate, track, and report on budgets, department metrics, and objectives.
  • Customer Interface & Qualification: Interface with customers and strategic customer teams to ensure needs are met, including customer transitions into and out of the site. Support product qualifications/acceptance and lead resolution of issues identified during these processes.
  • Talent & People Development: Exemplify Plexus Core Values and execute the Best People strategy. Focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and driving training, development, and performance management. Manage the development of SMEs and Process Owners to support technical training.
  • Operational Alignment: Collaborate with other functional and operational personnel to establish and execute operational strategies. Maintain or gain knowledge of industry standards and new technologies.


Education / Experience Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechatronics, Mechanical Electrical, or Electronic Engineering is required.
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills and management experience.
