Summary/Objective

Oversee the day to day operations of the Form department as our 2nd shift Form Supervisor. Duties include scheduling, tool set-up, and production outputs. Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback. Responsible for coaching employees, resolving issues, and serving as a link between Leads and Management.

Essential Functions

  • Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties and delegated tasks.
  • Set goals for performance according to work center schedules and expediting lists.
  • Print daily production and work center output graphs.
  • Answer employee questions, respond to complaints and resolve problems.
  • Monitor and maintain payroll and Employee Review Notes.
  • Perform yearly employee performance evaluations.
  • Conduct daily production meetings to communicate priorities to Leads and determine completion dates.
  • Maintain open lines of communication to pass on information from upper management to operators and vice versa.
  • Monitor safe operating practices and ensure there are no Pinch Point violations.
  • Enforce company policies and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.
  • Able to allocate resources in a productive and efficient manner.

  • Strong leadership skills, coaching employees, providing feedback and evaluation performance.
  • Ability to stay focused under pressure; ability to supervise, provide instruction and feedback, follow-through, set and juggle priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, knowledge of machinery and department operations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in the use of common measuring equipment such as microscopes, calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, etc.
  • Ability to learn and retain new skills.
  • Strong time management with attention to details.


Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises department leads and operators. They work in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time 2nd shift position. The hours are Monday - Friday 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m . Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

This is the full salary range for the position. Most new hires can expect to start around $70,000.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
