Full Job Description
Manufacturing Strategy & Planning Manager to provide strategic leadership across factory operations, production planning, capacity management, and customer shipment execution. This is a high-impact role for an analytical and operationally minded leader who can translate business demand and manufacturing data into actionable plans that keep production moving and customers supported.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Shape production strategy by translating demand and operational constraints into effective manufacturing plans.
  • Drive operational performance through data, KPIs, capacity analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Solve complex challenges by identifying bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities across the production process.
  • Lead and develop a team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and excellence.
  • Partner across the organization with Operations, Supply Chain, Shipping, and other key stakeholders to deliver on business and customer priorities.
  • Serve as a key operational leader, providing support and continuity to the Director of Operations.


Essential Functions:

Operations & Production Planning

  • Factory production planning activities, including production starts, capacity alignment, and shipment scheduling.
  • Translate customer demand, inventory position, and operational constraints into executable manufacturing plans.
  • Develop shipment plans that balance customer delivery requirements with manufacturing and logistics capacity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Operations, Supply Chain, Shipping and Customers.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and capacity risks and implement mitigation strategies.


Leadership & People Management

  • Direct and develop a team of Disposition/Test Technicians to ensure accurate and timely operational support.
  • Conduct performance management activities including coaching, performance reviews, corrective actions, and development planning.
  • Manage workforce scheduling, attendance tracking, and time-off administration in compliance with company policy and applicable regulations.
  • Model and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, ensure team compliance with safety requirements, and promptly address and report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents, or injuries.


Reporting, Metrics & Communication
  • Provide operational and financial reporting, including forecasts, analysis, and performance updates for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and improvement initiatives.
  • Factory knowledge in order to back up Director of Operations, with documentation sign off and execution.

Inventory, Materials & Resource Management
  • Inventory management - maintain appropriate levels that meet customer demand while controlling costs.
  • Allocate resources to support operational priorities and meet performance targets.
  • Forecast material needs - monitor demand trends, controlling inventory levels, and coordinating timely procurement/availability.

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, planning, or customer-facing roles with increasing responsibility.

  • Annual Salary: $105,654.00 - $120,000 depending on experience (DOE)
  • Targeted Annual Bonus: 20% (prorated based on date of hire (DOH))

  • Project / Program Leadership: Leads or supports initiatives focused on improving execution performance, shipment reliability, customer responsiveness, and planning effectiveness.

  • Independence: Independently manages execution coordination across production, shipments, and customer requirements within established operational direction.
  • Problem Capacity: Manages situations involving multiple variables such as production constraints, shipment timing, and customer demand changes.

  • Interactions: Engages regularly with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Customer teams to coordinate execution and resolve operational issues.
  • Financial Responsibility: Influences cost, inventory, and service outcomes through execution decisions and operational trade-offs.


Travel:
  • Domestic travel as needed for conferences, customer meetings, and industry events, and warehouse audits.

  • Manufacturing Floor/Cleanroom/Warehouse - 30%
  • Field / Customer Visits - 5%
