Job Description

We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Shop Operations Manager to join our Manufacturing team at our Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems (CDBS) facility in Morristown, Tennessee.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, encouraging timely near-miss reporting, and consistently applying FIFI (Fix It, Find It) principles.
  • Lead and hold teams accountable to established safety procedures, ensuring every employee understands and follows expectations.
  • Drive operational performance by meeting or exceeding plant targets in Safety, Quality, and Cost through effective leadership and execution.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities, solving problems proactively, and implementing initiatives that enhance plant performance and efficiency.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:
Significant level of relevant work experience, including managerial, leadership, and budgetary experience, required.

Drive compliance with all safety requirements by promoting a strong safety culture, including timely near-miss reporting and consistent application of FIFI (Fix It, Find It). Ensure each employee understands and follows established safety procedures. Support achievement of plant performance metrics by meeting or exceeding targets in Safety, Quality, and Cost through effective leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
