Job Overview
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products and manufacturing processes consistently meet quality, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role partners with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to drive quality improvements, reduce defects, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor manufacturing processes and product quality to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
• Investigate quality issues, nonconformances, and customer complaints using root cause analysis tools and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection procedures, and process documentation.
• Analyze quality data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support new product introductions, process validations, engineering changes, and production launches.
• Apply quality methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, CAPA, and Lean/Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and product reliability.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve incoming material quality.
• Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits and maintain compliance with applicable quality management systems.
• Train and coach employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
What your background should look like
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 1 to 3+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, statistical methods, and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, CAPA, and control plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality data analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or similar certification.
• Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other applicable quality standards.
• Experience with statistical software such as Minitab.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $67,500 - 101,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
