Vitesse Systems is looking for a
Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team in Longmont, Colorado! The Quality Assurance Engineer is an internal leader responsible for administering and improvement all aspects of Vitesse - Longmont's Quality Management System.
The RoleThe primary responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Engineer are to verify compliance with requirements and to facilitate company-wide improvements.
Key Responsibilities- People
- Act as a professional leader within the organization and as a representative of Vitesse - Longmont.
- Be an effective communicator and leader among peers, as well as others in the organization
- Develop and grow multi-level relationships with customers, suppliers, auditors, and other interested parties in support of Vitesse - Longmont goals
- Develop personal job competency through continuing education
- Mentor and coach fellow professionals at Vitesse - Longmont
- Processes
- Ensure processes within QA are followed and documented; develop and implement improvements.
- Facilitate company-wide process definition, measurement, and improvements. Accountable for communication and collaboration in order to facilitate company-wide process improvement.
- Accountable for development and execution of key process improvement initiatives
- Lead internal audits to document Vitesse - Longmont compliance with internal and external requirements; support external audits to verify compliance
- Lead Corrective and Preventive Action process to drive high-impact process improvements
- Lead Nonconformance process to ensure efficient control and disposition of nonconforming outputs
- Performance
- Measure and report key schedule, delivery, and cost metrics for the Processes above
- Measure and report performance of the QA department in a way that meets all requirements and needs of internal and external customers
- Measure and report on effectiveness of key improvement processes
- Support and report internal and external schedule/delivery compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience- BS in related discipline
- May be substituted by 4 years of related work experience
- 1 year of experience in related role
- Proficiency in industry quality standards, such as: AS9100, IS1000:2015, and NADCAP
- Competence with Inspection Tooling
- Understanding of GD&T, flatness, profile, surface texture
- Must be able to follow instructions and procedures with minimal supervision
- Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
Monday through Friday, 8 hour days with core hours being 9 am - 3 pm
