Position Overview:

The Manufacturing Program Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering additive manufacturing programs from order intake through production completion. This role ensures production schedules are established, maintained, and achieved while serving as the primary interface between internal operations and external customers.
The Program Manager owns the overall program plan including schedule, financial performance, and deliverables and ensures alignment with customer requirements, contractual commitments, and company objectives.

This role supports operations at both the Fremont and Livermore, California facilities and requires regular travel between locations. Work schedules and primary work locations may vary based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Program Planning & Execution

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Program Management Plans for additive manufacturing programs
  • Define program scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with customer and internal requirements
  • Establish and manage detailed production schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and resource availability
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery


Production Coordination

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams
  • Monitor progress of manufacturing builds and post-processing operations to ensure on-time delivery
  • Drive schedule recovery plans when needed to meet customer commitments


Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding program status, deliverables, and performance
  • Manage contractual commitments, technical requirements, and specification compliance
  • Lead customer communications including program reviews, gate reviews, and status reporting

Financial & Performance Ownership
  • Own program financials, including budget tracking, cost performance, and forecasting
  • Ensure program execution aligns with business objectives and profitability targets
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to schedule, cost, and quality

Governance & Reporting
  • Establish program governance structures, including milestone reviews and decision gates
  • Communicate program objectives, risks, and status clearly to internal leadership and stakeholders
  • Maintain program documentation, ensuring traceability and compliance with company processes

Serve as the operational liaison between:
  • Applications Engineering
  • Operations & Manufacturing
  • Supply Chain & Vendors
  • Quality Assurance
  • Fulfillment & Logistics
  • Finance & Contracts


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or high-tech environments
  • Experience in additive manufacturing or advanced manufacturing processes strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex production schedules and customer-facing programs
  • Strong understanding of contract management, production planning, and supply chain coordination
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with program management tools (e.g., MS Project, ERP/MRP systems)
  • Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Background with strong preference of manufacturing experience

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this full-time position is between $190,000 and $130,000. This salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for this position in the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience, job-related skills, related education, work location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. In addition to a competitive base salary and a comprehensive benefits package, this position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and equity program, as applicable.
