The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year.

The preferred location for this role is at the Waukesha, WI HQ or at the Jonesville, SC manufacturing site. Internal only: The team will also consider leaders to be based in other major Eaton U.S. hubs who are willing to meet the travel requirements for this role. Anticipated travel is up to 75% dependent on work location.

The Program Leader is central to how ESS scales its manufacturing footprint and delivers on our growth ambitions. In this role, you will lead high-impact capital and manufacturing initiatives that expand capacity, strengthen operations, and position the business for continued growth. You will drive complex programs across manufacturing processes, facilities, systems, equipment, and new product industrialization-partnering across plants and functions to deliver scalable solutions, align stakeholders, and accelerate operational progress.
Your initial priority will be to serve as the on-site Project Leader for the Power Systems footprint transformation in Jonesville, SC - one of ESS's most critical growth initiatives. You will drive the day-to-day execution of this expansion, owning scope, schedule, and delivery while working across engineering, operations, supply chain, and other functional teams to bring the site online at scale. You'll play a key role in ramping and integrating production to ensure the operation delivers with speed, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution
• Lead strategic capital and manufacturing programs from planning through execution, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, cost, and performance targets
• Build and execute integrated program plans, aligning cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
• Provide clear program updates, manage risks, and drive timely decisions to maintain momentum
• Integrate multiple workstreams into a cohesive, executable program plan
Capital Projects & Industrialization
• Lead equipment specification, sourcing, and implementation to support capacity expansion and operational readiness
• Drive new product industrialization, ensuring manufacturable, efficient, and scalable production processes
• Partner closely with manufacturing teams to evaluate current capabilities and improve existing processes
Operations & Continuous Improvement
• Drive change management, training, and operational documentation to enable successful implementation
• Advance Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance performance across cost, quality, delivery, and technical outcomes
Governance, Safety & Performance
• Ensure strong program governance through ProLaunch, performance metrics, and structured reporting
• Track and manage performance against cost, quality, delivery, and technical targets
• Maintain a disciplined focus on safety and contractor compliance
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience in Operations, Continuous Improvement, Capital Project Execution, or Program Management within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum three (3) years of direct experience leading capital expenditure (CapEx) projects from initiation through launch, including scope, cost, schedule, and execution ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) or equivalent
• Experience across core manufacturing processes such as metal fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, facilities, and electrical testing
• Proficiency with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, including practical application of process improvement tools
• Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools to support manufacturing, equipment, or process development
• Working knowledge of capital project financial processes, including authoring Capital Authorization Requests (CAR), asset capitalization, and lifecycle management
