Full Job Description
Position Overview:

As we expand, we're looking for a Manufacturing Program Manager (MPM) who is responsible for ensuring manufacturing programs achieve cost, quality, schedule, and delivery objectives. This role serves as the primary coordinator between Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and external manufacturing partners to ensure production commitments are met and operational goals are achieved.

The Manufacturing Program Manager operates within the Operations PMO and is responsible for driving execution across manufacturing and supply chain activities while ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer commitments, and organizational priorities.

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Program Execution
  • Own manufacturing program performance with accountability for cost, quality, schedule, and delivery objectives.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute integrated manufacturing plans, production schedules, and key program milestones.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and proactively identify risks, constraints, and opportunities impacting production commitments.
  • Generate, track, and manage action items, risks, issues, and mitigation plans using established program management tools and processes.
  • Track and report manufacturing program status, metrics, forecasts, and performance to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Own production readiness process from prototype through full-rate production.
  • Lead production readiness reviews and cross-functional program meetings to drive execution and resolve issues.
  • Support Operations PMO governance processes and provide regular updates on manufacturing program performance.
  • Ensure product changes, engineering revisions, and manufacturing documentation (i.e., BOMs, routings, tooling, fixtures, test systems, and work instructions) are production ready.
  • Support long-term manufacturing scaling strategies and operational growth initiatives.
  • In partnership with Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership, identify bottlenecks and support the execution of capacity expansion plans.
  • In partnership with the Supply Chain and Planning teams ensure material availability is aligned withdemand plans.
  • Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, cycle time reduction, quality, and inventory optimization

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or Business and 8+ years of relevant experience managing manufacturing programs, production operations, or supply chain initiatives in a technology, industrial, aerospace, defense, electronics, or advanced manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to drive measurable improvements.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • 10% travel

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, PMP, or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics, sensor systems, telecommunications, or other advanced technology manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing transfer, production readiness, and manufacturing scale-up initiatives.
  • Experience presenting program status, risks, recovery plans, and performance metrics to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with government contracting requirements, export controls, and regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of configuration management, engineering change control, and product lifecycle management processes.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is estimated at $112,500 to $135,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
