This position is for a mid-level manufacturing production planner in the aerospace industry. A Materials Planning and SIOP professional who participates in the supply and demand planning process and is responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems and improve effectiveness of work area. May work with internal team to develop

financial forecasts.

This position is working on site at our Spokane Facility - WA

What You Will Do

  • Participates in developing strategies for materials planning and SIOP Participates in the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.
  • Supports in planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations.
  • Work with manufacturing team and participates in the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.
  • Participates in identifying and developing new tools to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, Responsibility Statements and reliability.
  • Participates in establishing clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP. Creates and executes plan for every part, sub-assemblies, end items and other parts as required.
  • Monitors the transportation and delivery of inter/intra-plant parts and outbound finished products. Tracks and manages inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
  • Will support command center and part shortage resolution. Monitors tracking and shipping.
  • Performs escalated expediting when required to ensure on time delivery of material. Mitigates risks for short term shortages with internal suppliers to ensure successful customer delivery.
  • Schedules and forecasts the right volumes of materials, goods and products inbound to the business from its supply chain companies.
  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels. Create inventory reports and updates to others in the organization
  • Participate and supports facilitation of cycle counts for raw materials, FG and WIP.


Qualifications you must have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Experience in planning, or production or, supply chain and logistics.
  • Experience in inventory control.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
