Job Description Wyman-Gordon, located in Worcester, MA, provides Isothermal Forgings for military and commercial turbine applications using nickel based and titanium alloys. Full Heat Treating, Machining and Testing on site. This growing, $200 million profit center is part of a highly successful, multi-billion $ diversified manufacturer Precision Castparts Corporation (PCP).
Manufacturing Production Planner PURPOSE:The role is designed to own production planning post-forge through to the delivery dock including machining, Heat treat, ultrasonic inspection and shipping. This includes capacity considerations across internal and external machining centers and outside testing centers. Partnering with operational supervisors to cascade developed production plans so daily/weekly schedules can be created.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Build mid to long term production plans to achieve customer delivery demands
- Partner with operations to drive production plans to achievable daily/weekly schedules
- Demand planning - translate customer order commitments to executable plans
- Capacity planning - balance equipment, labor and material to determine internal vs external capacity requirements
- Manage production expeditor for all outside services coordination
- Develop in-process tools to create data driven decisions on span time, deliverable execution and capacity.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:- S./ B.A (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management) preferred
- Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills required
- As9100 or ISO 9001 experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MRP and production planning
- Ability to data mine and think of alternative solutions to common issues.

US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts. For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
