Manufacturing Process EngineerThe Manufacturing Process Engineer oversees and improves our core manufacturing processes. This includes identifying areas for improvement, maintaining high levels of manufacturing and product quality, and ensuring cost efficiency and conformance with regulatory standards. This position also develops new ideas for automated machine improvement using the latest technology, tools, and methods.
TOP RESPONSIBILITIES- Apply data-driven engineering methods to improve manufacturing processes, reduce variation, and resolve production challenges in collaboration with Operations and Maintenance.
- Develop, maintain, and update SOPs, standard work, ISO documentation, procedures, CNC programs, customer drawings, research records, and activity reports.
- Perform statistical analysis, data tracking, and process-variable evaluation to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
- Support new equipment, process startups, equipment upgrades, automation systems, quality improvements, safety enhancements, and equipment optimization.
- Lead and support Lean, 6S, Kaizen, 8D, and A3 activities to improve quality, efficiency, throughput, safety, and plant performance.
- Implement process changes for capital projects, ISO requirements, OSHA procedures, and other manufacturing or compliance initiatives.
- Evaluate materials, supplies, equipment, products, and cost-saving opportunities to support manufacturing performance and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot manual and automated processes, determine corrective actions, and implement sustainable improvements.
- Train staff on new or changed processes to ensure timely adoption, consistent execution, and safe operation.
- Develop layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow while ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products meet safety and regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing successful process improvements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
