Manufacturing Process Engineer (MPE) – Aftermarket Order Fulfillment and Warehouse

Help Hypertherm Associates reimagine how our warehouse and aftermarket operations work!

 

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, lead data-informed improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen inventory accuracy, expand physical capacity, and improve Order Fulfillment performance. You will have significant input into the future-state design of the warehouse, including layouts, material storage, equipment, and order-fulfillment processes. 

 

As our Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will: 

  • Lead warehouse process-improvement projects that increase efficiency, inventory accuracy, physical capacity, product flow, and FTP performance 
  • Analyze current-state workflows and operational data to identify, prioritize, and quantify Kaizen opportunities 
  • Design future-state warehouse layouts and material-storage solutions that improve space utilization, safety, ergonomics, and flow, in support of enhanced customer service 
  • Develop processes, workstations, tooling, and equipment solutions for aftermarket order fulfillment 
  • Evaluate, justify, and support the purchase, implementation, programming, operation, and maintenance of new equipment 
  • Create and maintain clear process instructions, standard work, and other technical documentation 
  • Define KPI models and use Power BI, SQL, and other analytical tools to measure performance and sustain results 
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma methods, root-cause analysis, pFMEA, and corrective-action practices to solve problems—even when complete data is not yet available 
  • Manage projects from concept through implementation, coordinating scope, schedule, budget, stakeholders, and risk 
  • Partner with warehouse and production teams to resolve technical issues and integrate safety requirements into processes and equipment 

 

Who you are and the experience you bring: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience 
  • Two or more years of relevant manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, order fulfillment, or process-engineering experience 
  • Experience designing and implementing warehouse layouts for material storage and flow 
  • Experience designing processes and selecting equipment for aftermarket order fulfillment 
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to evaluate opportunities, build business cases, and measure results 
  • Working knowledge of project management, process documentation, safety integration, and continuous-improvement methods 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification 
  • Proficiency with SQL, SolidWorks, and Power BI 
  • Sound judgment and comfort making well-reasoned decisions when data is incomplete 
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills 

 

Location: Kent, WA onsite 

 

Travel: 5% to other Hypertherm locations

$81,164.00-$135,275.00 AnnualThis is the base pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
