Join Crane Currency as a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Nashua, NH and lead the charge in optimizing complex manufacturing processes that drive efficiency, quality, and innovation.

How you will make an impact:
In this role, you will play a key part in driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives that directly impact production performance and product quality. You'll focus on increasing yield, reducing downtime, and identifying cost-saving opportunities by optimizing processes and applying creative problem-solving. Working closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Quality, EH&S, and Supply Chain, you'll help translate ideas into scalable production solutions. Your work will influence efficiency, product reliability, and overall operational excellence across the site.
  • Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process performance and enable new product launches
  • Develop and implement process operational standards, including statistical process control opportunities
  • Improve product quality by reducing variability, minimizing downtime, and increasing yield and capacity
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, identify trends, and implement corrective actions
  • Document improvement project scope, execution, and results to ensure knowledge sharing and sustainability
  • Create and maintain standardized work instructions to support consistent, high-quality production
  • Reduce waste, improve equipment utilization, and optimize overall productivity and cost of quality
  • Work closely with operators and production teams to identify and resolve equipment and process challenges

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Required:
  • BS in Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing (printing, coating, web processing, or similar environments preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and applied mathematics
  • Experience managing or contributing to critical, self-directed projects with basic project management skills
  • Experience with process mapping, capability analysis, and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes to cross-functional teams

Preferred:
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S methodologies
