Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with the production team to identify and implement practical improvements that increase efficiency, improve material flow, and support a smooth manufacturing process. This hands-on role will respond to production needs, analyze assembly line performance, identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions that reduce cycle time, waste, and downtime. The Manufacturing Engineer will also design and maintain kanban systems, support process and layout improvements, and work cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to quickly resolve issues and drive continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Complete engineering tasks and requests assigned by the production team, prioritizing work that keeps the line moving.
  • Identify, design, and implement assembly line efficiency improvements - reducing cycle time, cutting waste, and removing bottlenecks.
  • Design, build, and maintain kanban systems that keep material replenishment tied to actual consumption on the line.
  • Partner with production, quality, and supply chain to troubleshoot issues as they come up and get fixes into place quickly.
  • Document process changes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures so improvements stick.
  • Track the impact of changes with real data and report out on efficiency gains.
  • Support tooling, fixtures, and layout changes needed to improve flow and ergonomics.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles - kanban, kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping.
  • A track record of driving measurable efficiency improvements on a production or assembly line.
  • Comfort working directly with production teams and translating floor-level needs into engineering solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a bias toward practical, implementable fixes over theory.
  • Experience and a deep understanding of process design, implementation, and validation.

KNOWLEGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Vehicle development or relevant experiences preferred
  • Take ownership of projects and challenges to ensure issues are successfully resolved and deliverables are completed.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Location: On-site in Anaheim, CA
  • Environment: Fast-paced office/manufacturing/warehouse environment
