SummaryThe Manufacturing Manager will direct and coordinate the daily, weekly, and monthly activities that will deliver quality products, on time and in full, as sales requires. This person is responsible for building and maintaining a culture of high trust and accountability for all team members within the production department.
This position follows a standard Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, it supports a 24/7/363 operation, so sometimes additional evening and weekend hours may be required based on operational needs and to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
Ownership- Lead safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives to support the KPIs (TRIR, CCPM, OEE, etc.) for the production department
- Ensure that required government and environmental regulations are met
- Responsible for formulation, implementation, inspection, supervision, and control of various management systems of the production department
- Prepare and conduct team meetings as required to achieve proper communication and development of team
- Responsible for coordinating with other department leaders (Safety, QA, Shipping & Receiving Logistics, Maintenance, and Planning) to ensure communication is clear and goals are met
- Evaluate performance against production targets and adjust resource allocation, as needed, to optimize the quality and cost efficiency of operations
- Identify problems in production process and guide improvement plans, shift scheduling, overtime level, training, etc.
- Responsible for development and execution of the production plan to ensure finished product inventory is available to serve the customer (OTIF)
- Ensures that the production plan also supports the availability of planned downtime to allow for execution of maintenance PMs and projects
- Responsible for maintaining sufficient production supplies inventory to meet the department's supply needs
- Responsible for the management and analysis of the MES system to support OEE and other production metrics
- Work with the Plant Director to set strategic goals and vision for the plant

Qualifications- Bachelor's (B.A.) degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or Engineering preferred; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have the ability to write reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
