About This Role

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production facility - low voltage electrical equipment assembly, including planning, coordinating and directing the processes. This position ensures efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level).

The Manufacturing Manager works across all operational departmental lines to ensure business excellence and a high degree of employee engagement. The Manufacturing Manager is therefore accountable for the execution and achievement of the facility objectives, which will be monitored through industrial KPIs such as On-time-delivery (OTD), cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
• Develop annual operational plans, setting objectives with PCO Leadership Team, NAM
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to manufacturing teams.
• Ensure product quality and on time delivery.
• Provide meaningful and forward-looking information, presentations, and analysis to senior leaders to support timely and effective business decision-making
• Supports implementations of new production lines/test bays and introduction of new products
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement best practices in workflow optimization, equipment utilization, and workforce management.
• Analyze and resolve production challenges, identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
• Plan and manage production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization.

SAFETY
• Develop and promote a culture of prevention across the plants
• Ensures compliance with Group health, safety and environmental directives and that regulations are implemented, while monitoring and reporting progress and results.
• Assesses risks and safety hazards and implements plans to ensure people and equipment safety.
• Collaborate with internal and Corporate Safety departments as needed
FINANCE
• Prepare annual budget proposal (OPEX, CAPEX)
• Work closely with Finance to monitor costs and productivity
Control expenditures, and take appropriate measures to ensure that the overall business plan is achieved

HUMAN RESOURCES
• Strategic Talent Management: lead, develop, mentor, and engage direct reports to consistently meet goals
• Work to help maintain a culture that embraces the core values of Socomec, fostering a positive and engaging working environment
• Provide effective performance feedback, encouragement, and recognition to direct reports and across functional areas
• Review and support human resources programs to provide employee growth and development and meet regulatory requirements
• Manage resources in response to fluctuating business needs, changing priorities, and unforeseen problems, all in the most efficient manner
Ensure employees are trained and competent for their tasks

FACILITY AND EQUIPMENT
• Provide and manage a clean, secure, and safe work environment for employees and visitors that meets the needs of each individual's job and regulatory requirements
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with the landlords and building management
• Space management, including internal moves and reconfigurations
Ensure preventive and reactionary maintenance for both facility and equipment is carried out on schedule and in a cost effective manner

FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
• Work closely with engineering, supply chain, quality and sales teams to ensure alignment of production with customer requirements and new product launches.
• Work with quality team to develop a quality spirit across the plant and deploy quality processes encompassing product, process, supplier and system
• Build strong relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
• Minimum of 10 years of successful leadership experience within a low volume / high mix environment and ideally within the electrical manufacturing industry
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, master's is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a safety-first culture
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
• Mastering of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Proven track record of implementing various continuous improvement techniques (lean, 6 sigma, 5S, etc)
• Greenfield experience is a plus Strong and successful experience leading and motivating a team
• Experience working successfully in matrix context
• Mentoring, collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills
• Encourages and demonstrates accountability; focused on meeting business goals
• Successfully establishes and maintains long-term relationships
• High degree of comfort in analyzing and presenting business and financial information
• Full understanding of accounting and financial aspects of the operations
