The Role and Impact


As a Module Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of advanced manufacturing equipment used in semiconductor production. You will perform hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of electromechanical systems while supporting experiments and equipment modifications that drive cutting-edge advancements. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing equipment reliability and optimizing production efficiency, making an essential impact on Intel's manufacturing operations.

As part of this dynamic team, you will support critical equipment and collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives that align with Intel's broader mission of innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities


- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment.
- Execute setup, calibration, corrective and preventative maintenance on production equipment, including wet chemistry, plating, and dry high-vacuum toolsets.
- Monitor tool performance and analyze data to identify and address equipment-related issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, repair findings, and parts usage using established systems and procedures.
- Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects, focusing on equipment optimization and yield enhancements.
- Support cleanroom operations while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining full cleanroom attire.

Shift 4: (nights frontend) PM-AM Sun-Tues and alternating Saturday nights

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • Associate degree in a technical field and 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 1+ years of experience.  
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 4+ years of hands‑on manufacturing experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 4+ years of military technical experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 2.5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or a closely related technical field.
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 3+ year Technical/trade certification.

Preferred Qualifications


- Experience in troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation of electromechanical equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Proficiency with wet chemistry, plating, and/or dry high-vacuum equipment in a manufacturing or research environment.
- Experience using electrical/mechanical measuring devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, and micrometers.
- Capability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Familiarity with tools like torque wrenches and standard hand tools for equipment repair.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $70,670.00-99,770.00 USD (Hourly Role)

 

 

The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Our standard technician starting rates are based on your location and shift schedule.
