Full Job Description
Responsibilities

Keysight's semiconductor fab is expanding and looking for a Equipment Engineer within our Thin Film Fab Team. In this role, you will:
  • Own and become the technical expert for a suite of manufacturing equipment in our semiconductor manufacturing space (Dry etch, deposition, Lithography or Thin Film area)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues, leading repair escalations to root cause and long-term solutions
  • Drive the capital equipment acquisition process from requirements through installation and acceptance
  • Develop and continuously improve preventive maintenance and repair procedures
  • Lead hardware upgrades and reliability improvements to increase tool uptime and capability
  • Coordinate vendor support for preventive and corrective maintenance activities
  • Respond to equipment downtime events and restore tools to production safely and efficiently
  • Partner closely with process engineers and operators to support both volume production and R&D development

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a high-tech, complex manufacturing or similar technical environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
  • Experience with capital equipment installation, qualification, or vendor coordination
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Motivation to grow in a hands-on engineering role and learn new technical skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing equipment
  • Background in chemical or high-hazard manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with controls systems (e.g., PLCs, sensors, motion systems)
  • Experience with automation, data analysis, or manufacturing systems (MES)
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) or structured problem-solving (e.g., RCA, 5 Whys)
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX)

Pay Range: USD $100,850.00 - USD $168,080.00 Year

Note: For other locations, pay ranges will vary by region
