If you are seeking a career that has tremendous impact beyond any one individual, then come and join our Production Operations team as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Huntsville, AL! You'll oversee teams, resources, and processes to ensure cost, schedule, and quality goals are met while driving efficiency and continuous improvement. Your work directly impacts national defense programs and the next generation of hypersonic vehicles.

In this role, you will:
• Lead the shaping and development of the production activity for all production programs
• Establish personnel, equipment, and facility resources needed for execution.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with all programs and functional leadership at the Huntsville Site to ensure achievement for all program objectives.
• Institutionalize focused execution of standard processes and ensure best practices are communicated and utilized.
• Drive affordability and commonality initiatives which will reduce test cycle time, generate program reserve, and assure future program awards, including adoption of enterprise-wide production best practices.
• Ensure Production team is staffed, ready, and executing on cost and schedule.
• Serve as the spokesperson for the organization relating on significant matters relating to production operations

Basic Qualifications
• Experience in a production or assembly and integration environment
• Informal or formal leadership experience
• US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Desired skills
• Formal Full Spectrum Leadership experience
• Experience working with schedules/programmatic and integrating performance data.
• Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) to include Earn Value Management (EVM)
• 5+ years of experience in a rate production environment with recent (within the last 5 years) demonstrated leadership experience
• Experience leading or supporting Manufacturing Milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR).
• Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early achievements may drive future costs.
• Experience working with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.
• Experience in preparation of technical documentation and analyzing technical data.
• 5+ years leadership experience
• Lean six sigma Green Belt training or certified
• Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Experience with Statement of Work (SOW) and Electronic Production Operations Directive (EPOD)
• Experience with SAP data analysis and Business Intelligence Tools (i.e. Excel Macro, Tableau, WEBI (Web Intelligence), SADE (SAP Accounting Data Extract)
• Experience with Supply Chain, Production Operations, Quality, Finance data analysis
• Knowledge of/experience with LM proposal process and tools (I.e. SAP, GenBOE, etc.)
• Experience collaborating with and leading multi-functional teams to meet common goals and objectives
• Experience designing or conducting new facility
building construction and layout projects
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems system tools (SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database, etc.) or industry equivalent.
• Complete program lifecycle experience on development and sustainment programs.
• Experience in supporting large, complex development programs.
• Demonstrate Full Spectrum Leadership behaviors.
• Previous Proposal, Basis of Estimate (BOE) and/or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) experience.
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers (specifically DoD customers), including senior levels of management.
• Experience with transitioning hardware from prototype, development, to rate production phase.
• A degree from an accredited college in Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or Mathematics or equivalent experience.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $134,900 - $233,680. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
