Who will you be working with?

Our best-in-class Heat Exchange Transfer team combines knowledge of deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver unparalleled product applications experience. You will be a partner with the Engineering Leader and other key stakeholders across our organization to ensure the delivery of world-class products to our customers.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering department, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in an industrial plant by performing the following duties: facilitating the transition of new products from design through manufacturing, developing, and implementing process improvements for existing products. This role is predominantly focused on the Jackson facility of Young Touchstone and reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Leader of the business.

What do we want to know about you?
  • BS Engineering or higher from an accredited university, prefer Mechanical.
  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of prior Mechanical Engineering experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience managing capital equipment projects, manufacturing automation systems, PLC controls, and cross-functional project teams is preferred.
  • Additional experiential skills needed:
    • Working knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD 2D

What will your typical day look like?
  • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and overall performance.
  • Summarize all data, documentation and information related to production in a detailed report for internal use.
  • Develop alternative methods of production processes and standard work to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Utilize Root Cause Analysis and 9 Step Problem Solving to systematically eliminate production issues.
  • Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
  • Work with Design Engineering to ensure production processes have proper routing and labor standards.
  • Share responsibility for problem solving in all manufacturing areas and be responsive to the needs and suggestions of manufacturing teams and associates.
  • Lead capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects from concept through implementation, including justification development, budgeting, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Develop and manage project plans to ensure manufacturing improvement initiatives are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet defined performance objectives.
  • Design, program, troubleshoot, and support industrial control systems including PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and execute automation and productivity improvement projects.
  • Manage relationships with equipment suppliers, contractors, and integrators to support successful project execution and equipment performance.
  • There are no personnel supervisory responsibilities with this role.
