Job DescriptionYou will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr for the Machining Operations Center (MOC). Our team is responsible for producing ultra-precision machined components that enable infrared and electro-optical targeting systems for critical defense platforms.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Manufacturing Engineer Sr you will be responsible for delivering high-quality precision parts while supporting continuous improvement across the Orlando site.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Industrial, Quality Engineers and production stakeholders to define machining solutions.
- Develop, refine, and maintain CAM programs and machining strategies for CNC mills, lathes and other precision equipment.
- Create and update detailed work instructions, fixtures and tooling drawings that drive consistent shop-floor execution.
- Provide on-site support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues and lead root-cause investigations for non-conformances.
- Monitor and report on quality, schedule and cost performance of assigned projects, driving corrective actions as needed.
Basic Qualifications• Completed Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with precision machining (CNC lathes, CNC mills, etc.) capabilities, methods, cutting tools, and fixtures used to manufacture precision components made from aluminum alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and other common aerospace alloys.
• Experienced user of Computer Aided (CAD) software
• Working experience utilizing CAM software
• Working experience with G-code
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.
• General understanding of Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.

• Experience utilizing CREO or Siemens NX for CAM
• Experience utilizing Vericut
• Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications.

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
