Responsibilities:

Siemens Industry is looking for a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer for our Grand Prairie, TX factory located in the heart of the DFW Metroplex. Our growing facility has over 1,200 employees that produce high-quality, engineered and make-to-order power distribution equipment. The Manufacturing Engineer roleis critical in driving production line support, automation solutions, data connectivity, and operational excellence across our production environment in support of Grand Prairie North Star strategy.

You will make an impact by:

Base Business Operational Support & Project Management:
  • Maintain and improve manufacturing capability, continuity, and standard work documentation.
  • Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including business cases, budgeting, cost analysis, vendor selection, procurement and installation.
  • Apply Project Management principles to ensure timely delivery, scope adherence, and stakeholder alignment for all manufacturing improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Change Management tools to effectively manage process changes, such as equipment moves, floorplan modifications, system deployments, etc.

Automation & Manufacturing Systems Integration:
  • Collaborate with the automation team and other cross-functional partners to support robotic cells, tool controls, and other automated machines and systems.
  • Assist with the integration of manufacturing technologies such as SCADA and Manufacturing Execution Systems, ensuring reliable operation on the shop floor.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement:
  • Utilize data and analytics tools (Mendix, Python, Mindsphere, Tableau, MES, etc.) to monitor performance metrics, automate reporting, and drive data-informed decision making.
  • Lead projects focused on safety, quality, delivery reliability, and cost reduction through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Champion standardization, waste reduction, and process optimization across the site.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Prior experience as a Manufacturing Engineer (or similar) in a production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles, and fixture/equipment design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD modeling tools.
  • Proven ability to manage CapEx projects, including business case development, cost justification, procurement, and implementation of production equipment.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • >5 yrs of manufacturing experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Experience simulating manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems and quality management systems.
  • Experience with lifecycle management systems, BOM changes, and/or master data management.
  • Experience with ERP (SAP or similar), and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Experience with Change Management
  • Experience in a CBA/Union environment
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • 6 Sigma / Lean / PMP certification(s)

The pay range for this position is $67,544 - $115,790 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
