This position is instrumental in leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for our fabricated sheet metal and commercial refrigeration products. As a senior member of our engineering team, you will lead complex projects, collaborate across departments, mentor developing engineers and technicians, and help shape the future of our manufacturing operations.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing our manufacturing capabilities while helping others succeed. You will lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, provide technical guidance to team members, and drive improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Create and maintain complex 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform advanced engineering analysis to improve manufacturability, quality, and product performance.
  • Lead prototype development, process validation, and manufacturing testing activities.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects, including schedules, documentation, and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully implement manufacturing improvements and resolve technical challenges.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, safety, and cost reduction using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Train, coach, and mentor engineers, designers, technicians, and production personnel on manufacturing processes and engineering best practices.
  • Help establish engineering standards and foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing process design for fabricating, machining, forming and/or assembly operations
  • Minimum of three (3) years leading engineering projects.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong CAD proficiency and advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings to industry standards.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and proficiency using precision measuring instruments.
  • Thorough understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, including laser cutting, bending, welding, and assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality systems, and cost optimization.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical documents, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and engineering projects.
  • Strong reasoning skills with the ability to evaluate alternatives and make sound engineering decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop others while building collaborative working relationships across departments.
  • A desire to grow as a technical leader with the potential to advance into engineering management.
