Full Job Description
Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost reductions, productivity, and continuous improvement in their assigned areas. Primary responsibilities will include meeting performance goals, maintaining quality expectations, and improving the three M's (Mura or variation, Muda or waste, and Muri or overburden). Provide mentorship to manufacturing technicians and production staff. Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment for new and existing products. Work closely with design engineering on new, existing, and changing products to provide a smooth transition from design to production. Onsite: N7650 County Rd LS, Sheboygan, WI 53083 Shift: 1st Shift 6:15am to 2:45pm Responsibilities:
  • Drive production performance by ensuring efficient operations, meeting output goals, and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., DMAIC, PDCA, A3).
  • Partner with design engineering to ensure products are optimized for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) and support new product launches.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, routings, and material flow to maximize throughput and resource utilization.
  • Manage capital and process improvement projects, leading cross-functional teams to successful execution.
  • Support root cause analysis and resolution of production and field quality issues, including PFMEA development and maintenance.
  • Implement Poke Yokes to reduce assembly errors
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (from an ABET accredited institution) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 1 to 2+ years of relevant experience required (Co-Op, Internship, or related experience to be considered).
  • Proven experience in influencing and implementing changes and improvements.
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, including proficiency to logically troubleshoot at subsystem and system levels.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or proven experience in developing and driving change through continuous improvement and/or quality systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience drawing accurate conclusions from test data, malfunctions, or deviations, and assisting with corrections to the existing design or process preferred.
  • Ability to work on several projects of moderate scope and complexity at the same time.
  • Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal direction.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time, ability to wear PPE; with expected work balance to be anticipated to be: 50% on floor & 50% in office.
The Salary range for this position is $76,050.00-$96,050.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
