Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, PhD preferred in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Chemistry/Science.
• 5+ years experience in polymer chemistry, especially with epoxy, phenolic, and BMI resins.
• Background in resin, prepreg, or continuous process industries is advantageous.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, green or black belt preferred.
• Deep understanding of physical/chemical properties and structure-property relationships; capable of complex chemical experimentation.
• Strong project management skills; proven success as both an individual contributor and team member managing multiple projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Support operations in achieving safety and quality targets.
• Analyze resin, film, and prepreg manufacturing techniques and conditions.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and direct repairs or upgrades.
• Develop and execute continuous improvement plans for processes.
• Write and maintain thorough documentation of processes.
• Evaluate processing conditions and result properties using SPC techniques.
• Investigate material non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Develop processing conditions for new equipment/materials and train operations personnel.
• Drive improvements in material performance and processing capability.
• Provide design criteria and lead equipment start-up tests.
