Full Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:

  • Act as a project leader for assigned manufacturing projects, including developing project plans, coordinating resources, supervising costs and schedules, presenting project status, and ensuring project objectives are achieved.

  • Facilitate process improvements using Lean manufacturing tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S) to optimize layouts, improve material flow, and reduce waste.

  • Work with operators, supervisors, and value stream planners to assist manufacturing operations through layout improvements, line balancing, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement activities.

  • Support the development of business unit improvement plans using value stream maps, metric deployment, and management system assessments.

  • Lead and support capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, including equipment justification, implementation, and startup activities.

  • Review, update, and create work instructions, process documentation, and routing information to support manufacturing operations.

  • Compose and implement basic fixtures, tooling, and process improvements to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline required.

  • 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.

  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.

  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards preferred) and PLM systems (Enovia preferred).

  • Experience working with automation equipment preferred.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$62,900.00 - $116,900.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
