Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer, shall support the business in areas of product development; process improvement; daily production support; project manage key programs; analyze and interpret technical data (engineering drawings, specifications, purchase orders, etc.) and create shop routings, operations sheets, tools, and other necessary processes and equipment to produce a high quality product.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and write detailed instructions for the manufacture of products.
  • Analyze production data and look for trends indicating potential problems and develop solutions for potential problems.
  • Provide process control systems in the form of instructions, standards, data collection and feedback loops.
  • Utilize PCC toolbox such as Lean Six Sigma in order to improve factory performance.
  • Create tooling and fixtures to support production needs.


Required Skills:

  • Ability to read documents such as safety rules, operating and manufacturing instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals in English.
  • Excellent computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • ERP system knowledge.
  • CAD or 3D modeling system operation knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to think spatially and creatively at an advanced level.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Must have proven experience in performing time studies and setting routing standards.
  • Ability to analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.
  • Proven high level of creative problem solving ability.
  • Uses Inspection equipment: Calipers, Micrometers.


Required Experience:

  • 4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Must have the ability to reason and arrive at conclusions with minimum help and have a basic understanding of statistics.
  • Advanced math skills including statistical analysis and trigonometry required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CAD software (SolidWorks) required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate team work, collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
  • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations.
  • Working knowledge and application of Lean Six Sigma.
  • Ability to lead and function in a team environment, while effectively communicating across various levels of the organization.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
  • CNC programming is a plus
  • Understanding of standard machining tooling is a plus (drills, taps, inserts, reamers, etc.)

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related engineering degree.
