Job Description
As a Level 2 F-35 Wing Systems Manufacturing Engineer, you will work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to the fundamentals of aircraft structural/systems manufacturing while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, SRR reduction initiatives, tooling improvements, and engineering change management.
What You Will Be Doing
• Project Support - Assist senior engineers on production-support initiatives such as SRR reduction, HPU reduction, and tooling refinements.
• Documentation - Contribute to updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Manufacturing Plans under guidance.
• Corrective Action Participation - Join corrective action reviews, execute assigned Corrective Action Plan (CAP) tasks, and track issue resolution.
• CAD Assistance - Provide basic CAD support (CATIA V5 or similar) for tooling or A/C level repairs.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with Production, Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering (IE), Operations Engineering (OE), Planning, Marietta Wing, Wing Ops, EMAS, and Final Assembly groups to communicate status and issues as necessary.
• Process Learning - Apply introductory Lean/6-Sigma concepts and process optimization techniques under mentorship.
• Team Interaction - Collaborate with peers, share knowledge, and provide peer support where appropriate.
Core Responsibilities
• Assist senior engineers in executing production-support projects with clearly defined tasks.
• Update SOPs and Manufacturing Plans following established templates and review processes.
• Participate in corrective-action meetings, perform root-cause analysis on assigned items, and implement CAP actions.
• Generate or modify simple 2-D/3-D models in CATIA V5 to support tooling needs.
• Communicate daily/weekly status updates to relevant support teams and ensure transparency of major issues.
• Contribute to cost-saving and efficiency ideas, presenting findings to the team for review.
• Learn and apply basic engineering change request processes, ensuring proper documentation and implementation.

Basic Qualifications
• Experience working in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with tooling concepts and basic tool design.
• Exposure to corrective action related activities.
Desired skills
• BS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• F-35 Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements.
• Understanding of engineering blueprints, process specifications, and manufacturing planning.
• Experience working in QADS, SFM, SAP, CAPP, PDM, and ICA.
• Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
• Good Organizational Skills.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $77,000 - $133,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
