Job Summary:

The Trane Company Position Advanced Manufacturing Engineer New Product Development (AME-NPD) Project Lead will drive transformational change and design New Product Line through 3P Lean and Six Sigma tools.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Must have the skill set to lead and drive lean transformation by eliminating waste and increasing the velocity of customer orders once released to the facility.
• Must be quick learner of new process, product and lean methodologies.
• Document what is normal state and then be able to identify actions to correct abnormal conditions.
• Utilizes Design, six-sigma and lean manufacturing tools to identify cost savings opportunities and then conduct feasibility studies to transform the opportunity to actual savings.
• Works with 3P Manufacturing Engineers, Design leader and Engineering Leaders to prioritize the projects for the group.
• Works with 3P design team, Engineering team and Plant Hourly Associates to improve measurements, analysis, development, and implementation of tools such as gap analysis, process performance, standard work, and cycle time
• reduction.
• Develops, measures, and reports on safety, quality criteria of New Product Design.
• Assists other manufacturing team members with team related project completion.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical and Industrial (or related degree) preferred and at least 5 years of lean transformation and/or project planning/implementation work experience required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS or KNOWLEDGE:
• Lean Knowledge or Six Sigma certification a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools, Auto-Cad, Pro-E required.
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to speak with both senior management and production.
• Ability to assign priorities in a fast paced and changing environment.
• Able to work in flexible shift depending on project needs

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:
$75,700.00 - $107,660.00
