Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Engineer at Epiroc!

Improve manufacturing and other in-house processes with respect to quality, productivity and through put with the objective of reducing over-all costs and improving customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve processes, quality and procedures in manufacturing and other support
    functions to reduce costs, and improve productivity and throughput by using Lean Manufacturing
  • Principles such as 5S, Poke Yoke, and Kaizen.
  • Provide plant or process flow layouts to improve productivity.
  • Determine optimum manufacturing processes and raw material usage.
  • Select optimum capital equipment as appropriate; then justify and oversee purchase, installation and start-up.
  • Support new product development and sustaining engineering to insure quality product
    manufacturability at minimum cost.
  • Provide cost analysis as required.
  • Investigate and resolve production and quality problems, conferring with the appropriate salary and
    hourly personnel as required.
  • Improve the accuracy of production standards through time study, standard data development, the
    application of elemental standard times or other methods.
  • Assist in the training of teams in problem solving techniques and performance/improvement
    measurements.


Knowledge/Education:
  • Formal Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes using Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S, Poka-Yoke, and Kaizen.
  • Support manufacturing of electrical assemblies, wiring systems, and control components.
  • Develop manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, and electrical test procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve production and quality issues using root cause analysis methods.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure electrical designs are optimized for manufacturability.
  • Develop plant layouts and process flows to improve productivity and throughput.
  • Determine optimal manufacturing methods, tooling, and raw material usage.
  • Specify, justify, and support installation of capital equipment.
  • Conduct time studies and develop production standards.
  • Support new product introduction and sustaining engineering activities.
  • Train production teams on process improvements and problem-solving techniques.
  • Support compliance with company quality systems and ISO program requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical circuits
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting and test equipment
  • High voltage system experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
