Job Summary & Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and validate manufacturing processes that support production quality, throughput, and cost objectives.
• Perform DOEs to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain SPC to monitor and control manufacturing processes.
• Designed and implemented motion control programs for robotic manufacturing processes.
• Monitor key process indicators and drive data-based improvements.
• Analyze technical manufacturing issues and support practical, data-driven resolution.
• Support daily production activities.
• Design and improve fixtures, jigs, and tooling to support coating, masking, and inspection operations.
• Create and maintain clear manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, specifications, and process records.
• Investigate nonconforming product, customer issues, and process deviations; implement corrective actions.
• Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities including dimensional and visual/UV inspection.
• Utilize CAD software to create drawings and models supporting tooling and equipment.
• Assist with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance coordination, and supplier interaction.
• Dedication to safety is a must.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of manufacturing, process, quality, or equipment engineering experience.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated root cause investigation and problem-solving capability.
• Experience working in a high-mix manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, technical data analysis, and professional written communication.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Customers.
• Ability to develop clear procedures and communicate technical requirements to production and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience.
• Experience with thermal spray, coating, masking, blasting, anodizing, or precision machining processes.
• Knowledge of SPC, GR&R, FMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
• Experience leading capacity expansion, equipment readiness, or structured improvement projects.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely.
• Ability to stand and walk on the manufacturing floor for extended periods.
• Ability to work at a computer for documentation and analysis tasks.
