Summary We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support semiconductor device testing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining production flow by troubleshooting test-related issues, calibrating automated test stations, monitoring product quality, analyzing manufacturing data, and improving testing processes to ensure accurate, repeatable, and efficient production.
Primary Responsibilities Production Support
- Troubleshoot issues affecting semiconductor testing operations
- Resolve work order and equipment issues to minimize production interruptions
- Support daily manufacturing activities for test operations
Test Equipment Ownership
- Perform annual calibration of semiconductor test stations
- Verify accuracy and repeatability of test equipment
- Troubleshoot automated test systems and equipment failures
- Coordinate maintenance activities for test equipment
Process Improvement
- Analyze test data to identify trends and process opportunities
- Perform root cause analysis on yield and test failures
- Develop and implement process improvements
- Improve test efficiency, accuracy, and throughput
- Develop testing recipes for new products
Quality
- Monitor daily production quality and test results
- Investigate abnormal electrical test data
- Work with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve product issues
Documentation & Training
- Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions
- Train operators on test procedures and equipment
- Maintain engineering documentation
Cross-functional Support
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Process Engineering, Production Control, IT, and Product Engineering
- Perform other duties as assigned
New Equipment Qualification
- Intensively collaborate with vendor for new tool design proposal
- Make FAT and SAT documents for new tools
- In charge of new tool move in, installation, modification and qualification
Qualifications - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline
- Experience with semiconductor device testing or automated test equipment
- Experience calibrating and maintaining semiconductor test stations
- Knowledge of semiconductor devices and electrical testing
- Familiarity with LabVIEW programming is preferred
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
- Strong ability in communication. Good at efficiently communicating with vendors on technical terms and negotiations
- Ability lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds
Location This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
