Manufacturing Engineer
  • Hourly pay: $80/hr

  • 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment

A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineerto drive process improvements, production optimization, and operational efficiency within a precision manufacturing environment. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT teams to improve throughput, capacity planning, reporting, and manufacturing processes through Lean methodologies and data analytics.

Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize throughput, reduce waste, improve process capability, and implement standardized work across a multi-site precision manufacturing network.
  • Develop capacity models, production scheduling logic, and performance dashboards using Power BI while partnering with Planning/Supply Chain to balance production demand, machine utilization, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborate with Business IT/OT to support Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP integrations, shop floor data systems, and reporting tools, ensuring accurate manufacturing data for operational decision-making.
  • Conduct root cause investigations, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving to improve manufacturing performance while documenting processes, standard work, and operational procedures using SharePoint and Confluence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain to identify improvement opportunities, support data-driven decision-making, and leverage AI tools and Snowflake for reporting and analysis.

Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Experience working in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or high-mix production environments.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as Opcenter or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or similar data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Experience with production scheduling, finite capacity planning, and capacity modeling.
  • Strong SQL or database querying skills for manufacturing data analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, process documentation, time studies, and work standards.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and Snowflake for manufacturing data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
