DIVISION PRESIDENT

Consolidated Machine & Welding (CMW) - Hannibal, Missouri

POSITION SUMMARY

The Division President is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic direction of Consolidated Machine & Welding (CMW). This position has full responsibility for the division's financial and operational performance, safety, quality, customer satisfaction, employee development, and profitable growth.

As the senior leader of CMW, the Division President establishes priorities, drives accountability, develops organizational capability, and ensures the division consistently achieves its financial, operational, and customer objectives.

The Division President works closely with CK Power Family of Companies executive leadership and corporate support functions to align divisional objectives with the broader goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business & Financial Leadership
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the CMW division.
  • Maintain full P&L accountability for the division, including revenue, profitability, operating expenses, working capital, and achievement of annual financial objectives.
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, forecasts, and longer-term business strategies.
  • Evaluate financial and operational results and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Drive improved profitability through productivity, pricing, cost management, operational efficiency, and business growth.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, job costing, financial reporting, and performance analysis.

Operations
  • Provide leadership and oversight for manufacturing, machining, fabrication, welding, engineering, production planning, and related operations.
  • Ensure production schedules, customer commitments, quality standards, and financial targets are consistently achieved.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, productivity, labor utilization, and profitability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in workflow, capacity utilization, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material management.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, equipment, processes, and capital resources are available to support current operations and future growth.

People, Culture, Safety & Quality
  • Build and maintain a strong, accountable leadership team capable of achieving the division's objectives.
  • Provide clear expectations, coaching, feedback, and performance accountability.
  • Develop managers and key employees to strengthen leadership capability and succession planning.
  • Partner with Human Resources on organizational structure, workforce planning, recruiting, compensation, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, responsiveness, continuous improvement, and respect.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Hold leaders and employees accountable for safe work practices and timely correction of identified hazards.
  • Maintain a strong quality culture focused on preventing defects, reducing rework, improving processes, and meeting customer requirements.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence and strong relationships with employees throughout the organization.

Customer & Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and business partners.
  • Ensure CMW consistently meets customer expectations for quality, delivery, responsiveness, and service.
  • Participate in significant customer opportunities, proposals, contract discussions, and business development activities.
  • Partner with Sales and other leadership to identify and pursue profitable growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities based on strategic fit, capacity, investment requirements, risk, and expected financial return.
  • Ensure significant customer concerns are addressed quickly and effectively.

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute strategies to strengthen CMW's competitive position and long-term profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth, new capabilities, expanded customer relationships, and strategic investment.
  • Anticipate changes in customer demand, labor availability, technology, and capacity requirements.
  • Partner effectively with other CK Power Family of Companies divisions and corporate functions.
  • Lead organizational and operational change while maintaining employee engagement and customer service.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent senior leadership experience.
  • Significant progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication, welding, industrial equipment, or a related environment.
  • Prior leadership responsibility for a manufacturing operation, business unit, plant, or division strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated P&L responsibility with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop managers and effective leadership teams.
  • Experience driving operational improvement, productivity, quality, safety, and profitable growth.
  • Experience in engineered-to-order, custom manufacturing, fabrication, or project-based manufacturing is highly desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is based in Hannibal, Missouri and requires regular presence within CMW's manufacturing operations. The Division President must be comfortable working in both office and industrial/manufacturing environments.

Periodic travel may be required for customer meetings, supplier visits, CK Power Family of Companies meetings, and other business needs.

This position performs other duties as assigned and responsibilities may be modified based on the needs of the business.
