We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Controller to oversee financial operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making processes and improve operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to enhance cost control measures
- Oversee inventory management and cost accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Provide financial support for capital projects and investment decisions
- Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals
- Maintain and develop internal control procedures
- Uphold Colas ethics and business principles
- Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
EducationA bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in accounting, finance or other applicable degree
Skills - At least 7 years of accounting work experience is acceptable for this position
- Construction industry accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition and lease accounting standards Previous experience managing a small team Ideal candidate will have CPA and/or CMA certification
- Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and follow-up on multiple concurrent tasks
- Must possess excellent skills with Microsoft Windows and MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel (intermediate level)
- Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or other enterprise construction industry software a plus
- Highly motivated, positive, professional, organized, detail oriented, and an effective communicator
Physical Requirements- Ability to utilize hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require
- Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the need arise
- Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
- Ability to see clearly or with assistance via necessary correction
